PM directs officials not to make statements against judiciary
ISLAMABAD: Following his appearance before the Supreme Court, Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf directed Governor Punjab, Federal Ministers and other officials to not make any statements against the judiciary.
During a meeting Prime Minister Ashraf directed these officials to respect the judiciary when appearing on TV talk shows and not make any statements criticizing it.
During the NRO implementation case hearing, the bench complained that members of the PM’s cabinet, governors, senators and other members of the parliament were using contemptuous language against the judiciary which should be stopped.
