New provinces issue should be left for new assemblies: Shaikh
KARACHI: Special Advisor to the Sindh Chief Minister on Education Imtiaz Shaikh has said that issue of formation of new provinces has become complex and controversial, adding that it should be left for next assemblies.
During a news conference at Sindh Secretariat here on Wednesday, the advisor said that current assemblies should focus on holding elections.
Imtiaz Shaikh welcomed the joining of labour leaders in Pakistan Muslim League-Functional.
He said that they support formation of new provinces on administrative basis, however added that current situation prevailing in the country is not suitable for it.
The advisor to the CM said that rangers and police should be given free hand to overcome law and order situation in Karachi.
