MAKKAH: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud have expressed complete satisfaction that relations between the two brotherly countries were excellent at all levels and that the bond of brotherhood have transcended the vicissitude of time.

Nawaz called on the custodian of the two Holy Mosques in the wee hours of Saturday, and was accompanied by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and Hussain Nawaz.

Nawaz Sharif said that the relations were not based on political expediency; rather they were etched deep in the heart of every Pakistani and Saudi national. “We care about each other more in practice than in words,” he remarked.

The meeting was also attended by Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, adviser to the custodian of the two Holy Mosques; Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, second deputy premier and adviser and special envoy of the custodian of the two Holy Mosques, Prince Faisal bin Abdullah bin Mohammed, minister of education; and prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, deputy minister of foreign affairs. app
