Mamnoon Hussain urges talks with militants
KARACHI: President-elect Mamnoon Hussain has said that doors for negotiations should not be closed and Pakistan should talk with the militant groups ready for it.
In an interview with a private TV channel, Mamnoon Hussain said that the US was ready to hold talks with the Taliban, therefore, Pakistan should also negotiate with the groups ready for reconciliation. Mamnoon Hussain has been elected as the 12th president of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
He will replace the incumbent president, Asif Ali Zardari, whose five-year term ends on September 8. inp
