Nawaz determined to eliminate terrorism

LAHORE: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has reiterated his firm resolve to overcome the energy crisis, terrorism and poor economy, through effective measures.

Addressing PML-N parliamentarians, party workers and people from various walks of life after offering Eidul Fitr prayers at Jati Umra, Raiwind on Friday, the prime minister said the PML-N government will come up to the expectations and aspirations of the people by making dedicated efforts. He said the government inherited a number of challenges from the previous regime, however, the PML-N had sincere intention to bring the country out of crises so that the masses could get relief from the menace of terrorism, lawlessness, energy crisis and poor economy.

“The nation will see such a great day very soon when Pakistan will not only get its way towards prosperity but also become an economic power in the region,” Prime Minister Nawaz said. He said the government had made a remarkable achievement by resolving the circular debt issue and controlling electricity load shedding gradually.

“We signed a number of agreements with Chinese firms to set up 10 power plants to have capacity of 6,600 megawatts in Gaddani, Balochistan to be operated on gas and coal besides several other projects to add another 10,000 megawatts cheap electricity in the national grid within five years term of this government” he said. app
