SHC CJ orders immediate removal of encroachments around Al-Asif Square
KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) Chief Justice Mushir Alam Tuesday ordered for immediate removal of the encroachments around Al-Asif Square here, Geo News reported.
SHC two-member bench headed by the Chief Justice Mushir Alam was hearing the case relating to the reference filed by SHC Registrar in 2012.
During the hearing, SHC CJ ordered Karachi Commissioner to submit report by August 20 after ensuring removal of the encroachments.
SHC CJ in his remarks said that the order of the court should be complied in letter and spirit, otherwise Karachi Commissioner should personally appear before the court to explain his position in this regard.
