Air chief vows impregnable aerial defence in I-Day message
LAHORE: Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafiquie Butt has extended warm greetings to the nation on the Independence Day.
“On the momentous occasion of Independence Day of Pakistan, I extend my warm greetings to all countrymen and women. Every year the date of 14 August refreshes the memories of the epic struggle that the Muslims of the Sub-continent made under the consummate guidance and dynamic leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah for a separate homeland. Their sincere endeavours reached fruition on the sacred day of 27th Ramadan, which makes the Independence Day of our country a very special blessing of Allah Almighty,” read a message by the air chief.
“While eulogising the supreme sacrifices of our predecessors, we must pledge to uphold the spirit that earned us our independence, and continue unhindered our march on the road of progress and prosperity with renewed zeal and dedication. In the present times, it has become all the more important to have firm belief in the golden principles of ‘Unity, Faith and Discipline’. While the defence forces are playing their role, the courage and strength of the nation has been the cardinal factor in disrupting the hideous intent of the extremist elements.”
Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafiquie Butt said he takes great pride in conveying that the Pakistan Air Force along with the induction of state-of-the-art equipment has honed its professional skills manifolds by actively participating in abroad and in-land operational exercises and is ever ready to accept and tackle challenges at all fronts. “Dear fellow citizens!
