Provincial govt will not interfere in by-polls, says PkMAP leader

QUETTA: The parliamentary leader of Pushtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal has said the provincial government would not interfere in by-elections in NA-262 and other constituencies in the province.
He said this talking to media at Directorate of Public Relations on Monday. He further said the allegations levelled by Maulana Abdul Wasey and Deputy Opposition leader Zamrak Achakzai about transfer of levies and unattested documents were uncalled for. “We would neither rig the elections nor would allow anybody to influence them,” he said and added Rs 1 million each had been given to the deputy commissioners of 10 affected districts for the rehabilitation of the flood affectees.
He said the provincial cabinet would be formed within two to three days, and added, “we are democratic people and believe in democracy.”
He said they were trying to perform their constitutional duties since formation of government, adding the focus of the prime minister’s speech was also Balochistan and KPK.
He said the government was serious enough in finding solution of the problems. He said they shared the grief of families who were victimised by various incidents of terrorism and expressed his resolve for doing more for curbing the menace of terrorism.
He said the people had pinned much hope on the provincial government and added that the 35 years mismanagement could not be set on track in fortnight. He went on to confess that none of the departments was performing its duty properly.
He said steps were being taken to ensure presence of teachers, doctors and the employees of civil secretariat, adding that they would make everyone to follow discipline.
Abdul said they had increased the provincial budget for education 24 per cent and that of health to 11 percent and trying to improve and develop productive sectors.
