Rabbani resigns as member Parliamentary Committee on judges appointment
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) parliamentary leader in the Senate, Senator Raza Rabbani has resigned from the membership of Parliamentary Committee on judges appointment, Geo News reported.
Raza Rabbani has sent his resignation to Opposition leader in the Senate Atizaz Ahsan.
In the letter, the senator stated that as he was practicing law in high and Supreme Court, therefore, it was not appropriate to be member of parliamentary committee on judges appointment.
Following his resignation, Farooq H Naek has been made member of the committee. A notification in this regard has also been issued.
