Political parties protest over postponement of NA-25 by-polls

TANK: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and other allied parties held protest demonstration against postponement of by-elections in NA-25 Tank on Friday, Geo News reported.

According to details, PTI and coalition parties have demanded of the Election Commission of Pakistan to conduct by-polls in NA-25 Tank in three days.

Leaders and workers of the PTI, Jamat-e-Islami (JI), Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Sherpao group participated in the protest.

Addressing to protestors, leaders said that the circumstances of Tank had not worth postponement of by-elections, adding that not even a single suicide blast ever occurred in the area.

They said that a member of provincial assembly (MPA) had been killed in Hangu, however, by-elections were conducted in other cities despite the worst circumstances.

The protesting leaders said that if the ECP failed to announce the date of holding by-polls in NA-25 Tank in three days then their protest demonstrations would block all roads including Wana and Tank road till the demands are met.
