ISLAMABAD: An educational exhibition was held on Thursday to create awareness among students who wish to go to Australia for higher education.
The exhibition, organised by the Australian Education Organisation (AEO) at a local hotel, aimed at students who wanted to continue their higher studies in the educational institutions of Australia. AEO’s ‘Australian Education Exhibition’ catered to hundreds of students in five major cities of Pakistan. More than 18 top-ranked Australian universities participated in the event, providing information to students who wish to study in world-renowned Australian universities. The series of exhibitions were previously held in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad and would conclude in Faisalabad and Peshawar on August 25.
Speaking on the occasion, AEO Resident Director Saad Mahmood said, “At AEO Pakistan our clients are our first priority and we aim to help bring fulfilment to their dreams.”
He said that Australia was the perfect study destination because it was easier for students to return home during vacations and also for family members to visit them for their graduation. He advised the students that Australian institutions should be the first choice for them as it was for many international students. He also said that Australian institutes were sensitive to Pakistani religious and cultural needs and provide a range of support and monitoring services to help students. Australian High Commissioner Peter Heyward’s message was also read, who stated, “I am delighted that AEO Education Expo is providing a platform for prospective students to explore their study options in Australia. Many international students choose Australia for their higher education because of the excellent reputation of Australian educational institutions.”
A large number of youth from all walks of life visited the exhibition and showed their interest for higher education in Australia. They said that the exhibition was Pakistan’s most credible and trustworthy higher education platform. It provides representatives from international and Pakistani colleges, universities and institutes of higher education with a unique opportunity to interact with Pakistan’s high achieving college and university bound students, they added.
