PTI should approach election tribunals for complaints, not protest: Rasheed
LAHORE: Information Minister, Parvez Rasheed called upon the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to approach election tribunals to have their complaints addressed rather than protesting on roads.
Rahseed who spoke to reporters here on Saturday said protesting was the right of PTI workers but it was not allowed in an area where section 144 had been imposed.
The information minister asked protestors to change the venue of their sit in from Mall Road and they would be provided complete security.
Rasheed added that the increase in PML-N and decrease in PTI seats during the by-elections was an indication that the nation trusted PML-N.
Earlier on Saturday, PTI workers and leaders were arrested during a police crackdown at their protest camp on Mall Road. After workers and leaders were released following directives issued by Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, the PTI resumed its protest on Mall Road.
