Islamabad standoff: condition of Sikandar improving, says Dr Waseem Khawaja

ISLAMABAD: The condition of Malik Sikandar, the accused who sustained bullet injuries during the Islamabad standoff operation, is improving, said Dr Waseem Khawaja on Sunday.

Doctor at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Dr Waseem Khawja told Geo News ‘the tube has been removed from the lungs of Sikandar and there was no bleeding now’.

Dr Khawaja said the blood pressure and mental condition of Sikandar is normal, adding he was talking and taking food as well, however, the accused was unable to walk due to fracture.

He further said Sikandar can be shifted on stretcher as he was even unable to sit on wheelchair.
