PPP leader not willing to ally with MQM
KARACHI: PPP Karachi Chapter President Abdul Qadir Patel on Saturday opposed his party’s move to induct Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) into the Sindh government, yet again. While talking to media persons at the PPP Media Cell after Azad Jammu and Kashmir’s Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed’s press conference, Patel said that he is not against political dialogue, but it should have certain conditions. He was of the view that the party’s assassinated leader, Benazir Bhutto had adopted a policy of dialogue with any party, once it was free from any criminal elements within its ranks. He added that PPP workers have reservations over making MQM a partner in government, and that the latter had developed its relationship with the PML-N soon after end of the PPP government in the center. staff report
