China hands over $1.5 million cash assistance for flood victims
ISLAMABAD: Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Sun Weidong has handed over Chinese government’s cash assistance of $1.5 million for flood victims of Pakistan.
A formal ceremony was held at the Economic Affairs Division (EAD) where the aid certificate was signed by the Chinese ambassador and Economic Affairs Division Secretary Nargis Sethi.
The assistance has been provided to the government of Pakistan as a token of friendship between the two countries as both countries have been always pioneer to come to the assistance of each other in natural calamities and disasters. The Chinese government is monitoring the situation in Pakistan and is ready to provide all possible assistance to the government of Pakistan, said a press release.
The EAD secretary, on the occasion, thanked the Chinese ambassador to Pakistan on behalf of the government of Pakistan. She said that the present government is embarked on the policy of further deepening the current friendly relations between the two countries. She specially mentioned the vision of the prime minister regarding the Pakistan-China economic corridor which is future of the economic activities in the region. pr
