Safari Park encounter was genuine: DIG CIA
KARACHI: DIG CIA, Sultan Khawaja said Saturday that the Safari Park encounter was genuine.
During a news conference, Khawaja said that criminals placed in CIA custody by the police were not involved in this encounter. “None of the accused in our custody can be seen in the video. The criminals seen in the video were killed during the encounter.”
According to the DIG CIA, the three accused killed during the operation can also been seen in the CCTV video.
The DIG CIA informed the media that the incident was related to the land mafia and the role of the SHO was extremely suspicious.
A DSP was among two policemen killed during the operation against the land mafia on August 15.
Meanwhile during proceedings of the case, four accused presented were sent to jail till September 12 on judicial remand. Five others accused were released by the ATC.
