Gen Kayani meets Tajik president, FM

ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani on Friday met the senior political leadership of Tajikistan.

Gen Kayani, who is on an official trip to Tajikistan, called on Tajik President Emomali Rahmon and Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi in separate meetings on Friday, according to an ISPR press release.

A wide range of issues and matters of mutual interest came under the discussions, including defence and security cooperation between the two countries and measures to improve regional stability.

The COAS also visited the Military Institute
of the Tajik Ministry of Defence. app
