‘PPP not in favour of de-seating PTI MNAs’

SUKKUR: Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah said on Saturday that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has been opposing the de-seating of PTI lawmakers for the sake of democracy to be victorious in the country.
While talking to media person after visiting flood-hit areas in Sukkur, he said that that his party would oppose every move to de-seat PTI members from the National Assembly.
On traders observing a shutter-down strike across the country, Shah said that PPP supported their just demand for withdrawal of withholding tax (WHT) and the government should take measures to address their grievances. “The government should add new taxpayers into the net instead of taking anti-business steps,” he added.
Talking about the flood-hit areas, the opposition leader in the national assembly said that the residents had been forewarned but they did not leave their houses unless floodwater entered their houses. “Necessary food items are being provided to the flood-affected in relief camps,” he said adding that the flood was not that severe to for seeking foreign aid.
