We believe in political harmony, respect mandate of all parties: PM

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that the Pakistan Muslim League-N believes in political harmony and consensus amongst the stake holders of democratic process and they respect the political mandate of all parties.

He said this while chairing a meeting of the office bearers of party’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter at PM House here on Tuesday. Political situation of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa also came under discussion during the meeting. The delegation apprised the prime minister of the political activities and latest developments regarding by-polls in NA-19 in Haripur District.

Prime Minister Sharif said that Pakistan needed mature and experienced leadership, which could serve the nation with devotion and selflessness. He said that Pakistan was facing many challenges. “However, the law and order situation in the country is improving and operation Zarb-e-Azb is bearing its fruits,” he added. Nawaz hoped that soon Karachi will be a city of lights.

He said the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would not only create economic turnaround for Pakistan, but for the whole region. The meeting was attended by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Sardar Mehtab Khan, Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yusuf, National Assembly Deputy Speaker Murtaza Javed Abbasi among others.
