India ‘inappropriate’ to hurl accusations without concrete evidence: FO
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Foreign Office, terming accusations hurled by India as 'inappropriate', has asked the neighbouring country to share any such evidence regarding any incident with Pakistan.
In a weekly briefing, the Foreign Office spokesman Qazi Khalilullah said, “Pakistan has repeated again and again that it is inappropriate to hurl accusations on Pakistan instantly without investigation and concrete evidence.”
Responding to a question, the spokesperson said, India has proposed the dates 23rd and 24th of this month for the meeting between National Security Advisors of the two countries in New Delhi. He said, "the proposed dates are under consideration by our government and agenda of the meeting is also being prepared."
On ceasefire violations by India, the spokesperson said Pakistan has always condemned the violations and lodged protests with the Indian High Commission in Islamabad.
Pakistan is collecting information about eight-year-old Ghulam Hussain, jailed in India, following which his release would be possible and he would be repatriated, he said. He added that the Pakistani High Commission in India is in constant contact with Indian authorities over the matter of Chanda Bibi.
Qazi said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif would leave for Belarus capital Minsk on August 10 on the invitation of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.
He said it would be the first ever visit by any PM of Pakistan to the Republic of Belarus.
