FO confirms arrest of TV anchor Moeed Pirzada in Abu Dhabi
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Foreign Office spokesperson confirmed on Friday the arrest of TV anchor Moeed Pirzada in Abu Dhabi.
According to sources in Pakistan’s Interior Ministry, Pirzada’s close relative has also been taken into custody.
Pirzada is in Abu Dhabi police custody since August 4, sources said.
Sources added that the TV anchor was arrested on charges of alleged forgery.
He is being provided consistent access to a counselor.
