PTI to raise child sex abuse issue in NA: Imran Khan
HARIPUR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has said his party would raise voice in the National Assembly to seek exemplary punishment for those involved in producing and selling illicit videos of child sexual abuse in Kasur.
Addressing an election rally for the National Assembly constituency NA-19 here on Sunday, Khan said as a father and a human being he was extremely ashamed of what happened in Punjab's Kasur district.
He said change could not be brought with mere talk instead it happens with a change in prevailing system.
Khan said for the first time Finance Commission Awards would be given that would also force people of Punjab and Sindh to seek the funds from their provincial governments.
The PTI chief said he was determined to rid people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from 'Kacheri and Patwari culture' as he had witnessed the condition of villagers in his home town Mianwali facing the same problem since he launched his political career.
Khan said the KP government would disperse funds in every Tehseil, Union Council and Village that would enable the people to use the money according to their wishes.
Imran Khan said he had offered re-election after the reports of maleadministration appeared. He said it was unprecedented that a minister was languishing in jail to ensure accountability in the province.
“When was a minister picked up by an accountability commission, change will come only when police treat a commoner and a minister alike,” he said referring to arrest of a PTI minister in a corruption scam.
