JI wants CJP to take suo motu notice
KASUR: Jamaat-e-Islam (JI) Emir Sirajul Haq on Sunday demanded that Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Nasirul Mulk take suo motu notice of a massive child abuse in the city. Speaking to media after meeting with parents of the victims, he urged the CJP to take the suo motu notice of the horrific incidents. The JI emir said that a judicial commission should be formed to probe the scandal, adding that results achieved by the commission should be made public in two weeks. On Saturday, the nation was shocked by reports of gang of criminals producing and selling illicit videos of child sexual abuse in Ganda Singh Wala area of Kasur in Punjab province for the last 10 years. On Saturday, reports of criminals producing and selling sex videos of children in Ganda Singh Wala sent shock waves across the world. Investigation into the sexual abuse scandal – termed the biggest in the country’s history – revealed that around 400 videos were made of 280 children by 25 criminals. Several parents of victims were consistently blackmailed and coerced into paying hundreds of thousands of rupees with threats of making the videos public. Reports said families in the locality were helpless as officials all along remained apathetic to the incident. Some TV channels reported that local PML-N leaders were behind the heinous crime.
