Pakistan expressed its deep concern over the continuous unprovoked ceasefire violations by India at the LoC and the Working Boundary.
The Indian security forces had committed 37 and 24 unprovoked ceasefire violations at the LoC and the Working Boundary in the months of July and August respectively.
Pakistan urged India to stop forthwith the ceasefire violations and observe the 2003 ceasefire understanding to create peace and tranquillity at the LoC and the Working Boundary.

Separately, Foreign Office spokesman Qazi Khalilullah said Kashmir is one among the major issues between Pakistan and India and this issue occupies indispensable position on talk’s agenda between the two countries.
In a statement, he said resolution of Kashmir issue could guarantee peace in South Asia. He pointed out that the agenda for the visit of Sartaj Aziz, advisor to prime minister (PM) on foreign affairs, to India is being set.
India has proposed August 23 and 24 for this visit, however, no final date has been decided in regard to Sartaj Aziz visit to India. Pakistan will give reply to Indian proposal this week.
He said that the issues including unprovoked firing by Indian forces on working boundary, LoC and Indian spy agency RAW interference in Pakistan internal affairs also figure in the agenda. Pakistan would provide evidence on the involvement of RAW in terrorist incidents in Pakistan, he held.
