NewsChina appreciates Pakistan’s role in Afghan peace talks
BEIJING: China appreciates the important role that certain parities especially Pakistan have played in the Afghan peace talks, Foreign Minister Spokesperson Hua Chunying said.
According to Chinese media reports, the spokesperson said China is ready to play a constructive role in helping realize ‘broad-based and inclusive peace and reconciliation in Afghanistan.’
The comments came in response to concerns over recent terrorist attacks in Afghanistan and their impact on the peace talks.
Spokesperson Hua Chunying emphasised that China supported the Afghan led reconciliation process.
