Spokesman says strike sends a clear message to India, world
SRINAGAR – Terming complete strike observed by Kashmiris on India’s Independence Day as an eye opener for India and the world community at large, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference spokesman said on Saturday that people have once again proved their resolve and commitment towards freedom struggle by observing shutdown.
In a statement issued here, the spokesman said that strike should send a clear message to Indian leadership and the world community that Kashmiris would not accept preponderance of any nation. Kashmiris would continue with their struggle with full commitment to achieve their cherished birth right – right to self-determination, he said.
He stated that no nation can be suppressed by means of military might forever. The Indian government should accept reality that Kashmir was a political dispute which needs to be solved on urgent basis, he said. The world community should come forward and play its dutiful role to resolve Kashmir issue according to the wishes and aspirations of Kashmiris.
