PPP asks Asif, Shahbaz to expose PTI’s ‘third empire’
Zardari says Imran, Qadri invaded Islamabad with sit-ins
INP

LONDON – Former president Asif Ali Zardari has said that if Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif have any proof of third empire relating to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s sit-in in Islamabad, they should show them.

In an interview with a private TV channel, he said that he went to the home of the prime minister and not Nawaz Sharif and wanted to weaken the powers that were weakening the chief executive of Pakistan. He pointed out that Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri had invaded Islamabad at that time.

– Madonna and political actors –

He said that the new Pakistan was on the world map only and only due to the Pakistan People’s Party. Without naming, Zardari said that some people who do not know the ABC of politics were acting like (popular US singer) Madonna and political actors on TV channels. He said that it was because of the reconciliation policy of his party that their government completed five years.

– A ‘lady party’ emerging –

Asked about electoral damages to PPP, Zardari said that PPP was the largest party of Pakistan and victory or defeat would not make any difference to it. He said that allegations had been levelled against the PPP in the past but it was impossible to divide or break it. He said that a ‘lady party’ was emerging on Pakistan’s political scene and Mrs Imran Khan was also a candidate for the prime minister. He said that Imran Khan has changed his opinion about hereditary politics.

– Bilawal to attract youths –

Zardari expressed the hope that Bilawal would accept the political challenge and fulfill his responsibility by attracting the youths. He said that Pakistan has no threat from Iran but there was danger from certain powers sitting in Afghanistan. He said that President Ashraf Ghani was facing problems. He said that once the security situation improves and borders were safe, there would be no country like Pakistan.
