Take notice of workers' arrest, MQM to President, PM, COAS
LONDON: The coordination committee of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Thursday demanded of the President, Prime Minister and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) to take notice of ‘unjustified’ arrests of party workers as well as its office-bearers.
According to a statement issued here, MQM coordination committee said the residence of party chief Altaf Hussain's sister was raided.
It further said that despite claims from the government, the party is being made target of political vendetta.
The party's decision-making body has also condemned the 'illegal' arrests of party workers, saying the arrests are aimed at imposing unannounced ban on the political and social activities of MQM.
