‘India violates ceasefire to hide political failures’

SIALKOT: Senate Chairman Raza Rabbani said at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) here on Sunday that the Modi government has failed to deliver on political fronts and is now trying to worsen the situation on the borders to divert the world’s attention from its internal failures. Rabbani said innocent women, children and elderly people have been killed and injured by Indian shelling on the Working Boundary near Sialkot. “Our valiant armed forces have the ability to retaliate any aggression and if violations continue, the armed forces would react effectively,” he added. He said that the government should raise voice against Indian barbarism at all international forums including the United Nations (UN) and Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) so that the world must know the facts and true picture of the situation. The Senate chairman said Pakistan wants peace in the region and has made huge sacrifices for global and regional peace. “I will talk to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to take effective measures to secure the bordering villages,” he assured the victims. He also distributed bouquets among the injured and expressed his sympathies and well wishes for their early recovery.
