PIA to investigate viral video of passengers protesting against turned off ACs
While talking to the media, the spokesperson clarified that they did not get any reports of the incident and also they are probing the viral video
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) spokesperson Mashood Tajwar stated on Wednesday that they are investigating a viral video which showed people shouting and gasping for air as the Air Conditioners (AC) of the plane were turned off.
While talking to the media, the spokesperson clarified that they did not get any reports of the incident and also they are probing the viral video.
He further added, “We are trying to identify the crew visible in the video to determine the flight number.”
Moreover, Tajwar assured that those who were responsible for the situation will surely be held accountable.
In the video which went viral, passengers, including a woman holding an infant, can be seen gathered at the front of the airplane. They could be heard demanding the cabin crew to open the doors and let fresh air in.
The woman could be seen appealing for help as she complains that her infant was facing difficulty in breathing.
Also, the passengers demanded that the crew open the doors but to no avail.
According to reports, the incident happened on a flight which was headed from Islamabad to Paris. The passengers were seated inside the plane with ACs switched off and they had to wait for two hours before the flight took off.
