Imran to reside at Punjab House after becoming PM

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan will reside at Punjab House chief minister annexe after taking oath as Prime Minister, spokesperson Naeem ul-Haque said.

The spokesperson stated that he had visited the chief minister annexe and that Imran Khan will make it his residence over the weekend.

Khan stated in his first post-victory speech that his party wanted to convert the PM House into an educational or public institute.

Khan has also stated previously that he will turn governor houses into public spaces which could produce revenue for the country.

In light of protests outside the ECP offices in Islamabad, Haque also said that his party was willing to cooperate and help “improve the system so the future elections can be conducted with ease and nobody gets a chance to complain.”

Pakistanis voted on July 25 in over 85,000 constituencies nationwide. PTI secured a very solid lead, making the party likely to form federal government.
