Pakistani pilgrims to start coming back home after Hajj on Monday

MECCA/KARACHI: Pakistani pilgrims are expected to start coming back to Pakistan on Monday, the religious affairs ministry said.
As the post-Hajj flight operation begins, the first flight is scheduled to arrive at the capital city’s Islamabad International Airport (IIAP) on Monday.
The director-general of Hajj operations, Syed Imtiaz Shah, informed that the first flight will be carrying 265 Pakistani pilgrims and is expected to fly out from Hajj Terminal in Jeddah.

At least 8 to 12 flights will land in Pakistan every day and the pilgrims will be transported from Mecca to Medina before being flown to Pakistan, he added.
Almost 36,000 Pakistani pilgrims are expected to come back home from Medina this year, he stated. The return operation will conclude on September 25, Shah concluded.
