PTI withdraws Dr. Jogezai name from Balochistan governor nomination
According to the details, the PTI spokesperson stated that Jogezai’s name was suggested by Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan, however, no final decision was taken in this regard
QUETTA: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has retracted on Sunday Dr. Ameer Muhammad Khan Jogezai name from the nomination of Balochistan Governor after the revelations of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) reference surfaced against him.
According to the details, the PTI spokesperson stated that Jogezai’s name was suggested by Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan, however, no final decision was taken in this regard.
On Saturday, Jogezai had refused Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) offer of Balochistan governorship. In a video message, he had said that he was thankful to Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan and Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) for putting their faith in him.
However, an hour later Jogezai had refuted the claim saying that his statement was misunderstood.
On the other hand, NAB has claimed that the investigations into financial embezzlement cases against Jogezai are in the final phase and after which reference will be filed against him.
In 2015 NAB’s executive board presided over by the Chairman Qamar Zaman had approved probe against Dr. Jogezi.
