Government is saving nation’s billions of rupees, says Faisal Javed
In response to party MNA Aamir Liaquat Hussain's claim that he was part of the PTI's "forward bloc", Javed said the party has a "progressive bloc"

KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Faisal Javed Khan claimed on Wednesday that the new government is saving billions of rupees belonging to the nation.

The senator informed that he would hold a press conference next week and would reveal the spendings of the previous government and of current (PTI) government.

In response to party MNA Aamir Liaquat Hussain’s claim that he was part of the PTI’s “forward bloc”, Javed said the party has a “progressive bloc”.

The country’s industrial hub has voted for the Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan, not the individual, (Hussain), he further added.

“Karachi voted for Imran Khan in both 2013’s and 2018’s general elections,” Javed stated.

The PTI leader further stressed, “Even if Imran Khan had nominated an election instead of Aamir Liaquat, it would have been a clear victory.”

He further noted that the former TV personality “creates hype about things” but the party would “convince him to come back on track.”

Javed stated that he did not understand that why Amir had given such a statement, however, he added that he (Hussain) would change his stance in 24 hours.

Speaking of Hussain’s wish of being with Imran Khan, Javed further said that the PTI MNA’s behaviour was “very wrong if he had done it for getting a ministry,” however, he added that he had “never asked for ministership despite being with Imran Khan for 22 years”.

Hussain had constituted 25 July elections from NA 245 constituency and bagged 56,615 votes while the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan’s (MQM-P) Dr. Farooq Sattar got 35,247 votes and stood runner-up.

While talking about the importance of people of Karachi and how they were being chosen for top government posts, he highlighted that recently-elected Sindh Governor Imran Ismail was from the metropolis and so was Arif Alvi, the candidate the PTI has nominated for the office of the country’s president.

Speaking of the costs of the PM using a car or helicopter to commute from Bani Gala to PM House he stated, “There’s a danger to Imran Khan’s life.”
