Tariq Khosa refuses to head memo commission: Report


KARACHI: Former director general of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Tariq Khosa has refused to head the commission, formed to probe the memogate scandal, Geo News reported.

According to sources a letter in this regard has also been delivered to Chief Justice in his chamber.

The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Thursday had appointed Tariq Khosa to head the commission, set up to investigate the infamous memogate scandal that resulted in the resignation of former ambassador of Pakistan to US Hussain Haqqani.

The court had allowed Khosa to take assistance from any cyber crime expert and go abroad for the same purpose.

The SC had also directed him to inform about his availability so that the task could be assigned to any other official.
