Zero-Point gate on Pak-Iran border in Taftan reopens
CHAGAI: The Iran government reopened the Zero-Point trade gate on the Pak-Iran border on Sunday in the Taftan area of the Chagai district. Chagai Deputy Commissioner Dr Tufail Baloch told APP that Iranian border force officials had closed Zero-Point trade gate to trade activities for about three months. The closure of the trade gate created difficulties and problems for people living along both sides of the border, he added. He said that the district administration of Chagai remained in touch with Iranian officials and asked them to reopen the trade gate, keeping in view the grievances of the local people. He said that reopening the trade gate would boost local trade as the livelihood of thousands of people living along the border in the two countries depended on trade activities through the Zero-Point gate. The traders’ community thanked both the Pakistan and Iran governments for reopening the Zero-Point trade gate. app
