PML-N lawyers being threatened for filing memo case: Nisar

ISLAMABAD: The memo gate scandal took a new turn on Tuesday when Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan alleged that senior lawyers of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) were receiving threats since the filing of case in the Supreme Court (SC) against the memo. Talking to media persons outside Parliament House, Khan also objected to the prorogation of the senate session without discussion on the memo issue. He said that the government however wanted to block the proceedings one way or the other. Expressing his annoyance over change of government’s stance with regard to memo issue, he said the ruling party was feeling embarrassed, if they were innocent, they could have provided evidences in the parliament and SC instead of complicating it further. staff report
