Abbottabad Commission quizzes ex-foreign ministers, secretaries

ISLAMABAD: The Abbottabad Inquiry Commission on Wednesday held detailed interactive sessions with former foreign ministers, foreign secretaries and ambassadors.

The meeting was chaired by retired Supreme Court judge Justice Javed Iqbal and was attended by the commission’s other members Ashraf Jehangir Qazi, Lt Gen (r) Nadeem Ahmed and inspector general of police (r) Abbas Khan.

The commission questioned former foreign ministers Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Inam-ul-Haq, former foreign secretaries Riaz Khokhar, Riaz M Khan and former ambassador to the United States Dr Maleeha Lodhi.

Roedad Khan, a former interior secretary, and defence analyst Lt Gen (r) Talat Masood also appeared before the commission and gave their statements about the Abbottabad incident. inp
