PTI allowed to hold rally at Mazar-e-Quaid
KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has been allowed to hold a public meeting at Mazar-e-Quaid on Sunday, December 25.
Muhammad Arif, a resident engineer, told Geo News that under Maintenance and Protection Ordinance (PRO) 1971 no one is allowed to hold a rally at the Mazar-e-Quaid or at the place that comes under its administration.
He said the PTI was allowed to hold rally on a condition that it would not harm the property and would also not put hurdles for visitors on December 25.
Earlier, police on Friday locked down the ground adjacent to mausoleum and barred PTI workers from entering.
PTI leaders and workers were expelled from the ground and a copy of the Sindh High Court (SHC) order had been put up at the main gate of the ground.
