Khursheed Shah says Govt turned deaf ear to his APC suggestion

SUKKUR: Opposition leader in the National Assembly, Syed Khursheed Shah Sunday said like Mualana Fazl-ur-Rehman he had also demanded of the government to convene an All Parties Conference (APC) following the death of Pakistani Taliban leader Hakimullah Mehsud.

“When the government did not even listen to its ally, Fazl-ur-Rehhman, then what is it that one can do about it,” he regretted while talking to Geo News during his visit to the Civil Hospital Sukkur.

He said he also advised the government that if it cannot hold another APC, then it should at least consult the heads of political and religious parties but the government turned a deaf ear to it too.

Khursheed Shah feared that the country’s problems will remain unresolved if the Prime Minister continued to stay away from the parliament.
