PTI sit-in blocking NATO supplies enters 8th day

PESHAWAR: The sit-in of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) and its allied parties to block NATO supplies in protest against US drone strikes has entered eighth consecutive day on Sunday here, Geo News reported.

In Peshawar‚ the PTI and Jamaat-e-Islami workers have set-up protest camps at Ring Road near Hayatabad Toll Plaza and Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway Toll Plaza.

They are checking the documents of the containers to block transportation of any container if it is found carrying NATO supplies.

On the other hand, PTI activists continued their sit-in at the Attock Kyhairabad Bridge in Nowshera and blocking Nato containers from entering into Khyber Pukhtunkhaw (KPK). Besides, PTI and JI workers also staging sit-in on the Indus Highway in Kohat and at Ramak checkpost in Dera Ismail Khan.

However, Afghan transit trade trucks after thorough checking being allowed to proceed on their route to Afghanistan.
