Burney succeeds in getting Pak prisoners released

KARACHI: Due to the efforts of Ansar Burney Trust International, Pakistani national Syed Fasihullah Hussaini’s release from India has been secured and hopefully he will join his family back in Pakistan very soon. Hussaini was charged as Pakistani spy and kept in Gauhati Jail India since August 1999.

National security, militancy and terrorism related charges were lodged against him and was kept in Block 3 of Gauhati Jail. Efforts of the chairman of Ansar Burney Trust International and former federal minister for human rights, Ansar Burney, along with the Indian activist Nilim Dutta became fruitful when Syed Fasihullah Hussaini was acquitted from all seven cases against him of spying and terrorism. inp
