Envoys-designate call on president

ISLAMABAD: Envoys of four countries on Tuesday presented their credentials to President Mamnoon Hussain at a ceremony at the Presidency. In separate meetings, Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina Nedim Makarevic, Ambassador of Kingdom of Thailand Tomwit Jamson, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden Tomas Rosander and Ambassador of Republic of Burkina Faso Mansa Ountana discussed bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest with the president. Mamnoon felicitated the newly appointed ambassadors on their appointment and expressed hope that they would work for strengthening the existing close ties of their respective countries with Pakistan. The president also wished the newly appointed ambassadors a comfortable and pleasant stay in Pakistan. Earlier, upon the arrival of the envoys at the Presidency national anthems of Pakistan and their respective countries were played and the ambassadors were presented guard of honour by a smart contingent of Pakistan Army. ap
