Balochistan holds local bodies election SaturdayQUETTA: Though Balochistan continues to face different problems ranging from sectarian violence and a low level insurgency to missing persons, the southwestern province of Pakistan has taken the lead in holding local bodies election.
When other federating units are still reluctant to hold the polls on one pretext or other, Balochistan is all set to witness the exercise on Saturday.
All the arrangements for the elections have been finalized for the polls with thousands of troops deployed on security duty.
Justice Nasirul Mulk, a Supreme Court judge and acting chief of the Election Commission of Pakistan visited the provincial capital and applauded the provincial government for its efforts for finalizing arrangements for the polls.
