Balochistan CM says govt. impartial in holding of LB polls
QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch said the provincial government was fully impartial in holding of the local bodies (LB) polls and implemented the orders of the Supreme Court to hold LB elections in letter and spirit.
He said the Balochistan government provided all available resources for holding peaceful local bodies elections including provision of fool proof security and it is the right of voters to elect their candidates.
Earlier, the Acting Chief Election Commissioner Mr. Justice Nasirul Mulk Saturday called on Chief Minister Balochistan Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch and inspected the control rooms set up for monitoring security arrangements for local bodies elections in the province.
He visited and inspected control rooms at Civil Secretariat and Frontier Corps Madadgar Center set up to monitor the security arrangements put in connection with maintenance of law and order in and around the polling stations.
On this occasion Acting Chief Election Commissioner said that the ECP has asked Commissioner Sibi to immediately visit Harnai to ascertain the situation and submit his report. There is smooth and peaceful holding of local bodies elections across Balochistan and credit went to the provincial government to get the honor of conducting of local government elections today he added.
