Supporters remember Allama Jalbani

KARACHI: Candlelight vigils were held on Saturday night to commemorate the martyrdom of Allama Deedar Jalbani, deputy secretary-general of the Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) and his guard.

Mourners lighted candles along the main university road near NED University where they embraced martyrdom due to terrorist attack on their car. Another candlelight vigil was observed at Numaish Chowrangi.

Supporters of the MWM attended these congregations, offered fateha and paid respect to the departed souls. They were emotional and many were seen sobbing at the said venues.

Women and children also went to light the candles to mark solidarity with the heirs and relatives of the martyrs who were slain on Tuesday.

Allama Sadiq Raza Taqvi, deputy secretary-general of the MWM Sindh, Hassan Hashmi and Ali Hussain Naqvi of the MWM Karachi chapter also paid visits and spoke to the mourners.

They said that martyrs remain alive and remaining people should remember them and refresh the memories of martyrs.
