Sindh cabinet decides to hold LB polls in March
KARACHI: Sindh cabinet has decided to hold local bodies (LB) elections in the province in March, Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said.
Sharjeel Memon said that the government would officially dispatch a letter to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday in this regard.
However, the ECP has categorically stated that the LB polls in Sindh would be held on January 18. The schedule of Sindh LB elections would be announced on December 13, it said.
The commission further stated that if the Sindh government wanted delay in elections, it should go to the Supreme Court.
