Asian Parliamentary Assembly session kicks off
ISLAMABAD: The three-day conference of Asian Parliamentary Assembly began in Islamabad on Sunday. About two hundred delegates, including speakers, deputy speakers and parliamentarians of the member countries are attending the meeting. The session is being hosted by the Senate. Theme of the session is Asian Century: Cooperation in Economy, Energy and Environment. In the meeting, the agenda of Executive Council will be adopted and election of vice-chairman and rapporteur will be held. Islamabad Declaration will be issued at the end of the conference with the objective to promote the theme of the Asian Century. online
