JI to launch countrywide movement against privatization: MunawarLAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Amir Syed Munawar Hassan on Wednesday said that the government policy of privatization would render as many as 0.6 million people jobless, Geo News reported.
He said that his party would launch a countrywide movement against privatization.
Addressing a seminar under the aegis of JI at Mansurah here, Syed Munawwar Hassan said that the organizations privatized in the past didn’t in anyway benefited the country and the nation. He said that privatization was the agenda of IMF and World Bank.
The leaders of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI), other political parties and the labour organizations also participated in the seminar.
The constitution of a national committee on anti-privatization was also announced in the seminar.
