NICL scam: Police delivers NAB summon to ex-PM Gilani
ISLAMABAD: Police has delivered the summon issued by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani to appear before the probe team of the anti-corruption body for his alleged involvement in the NICL scam, Geo News reported Friday.
NAB had asked police to produce Yousuf Raza Gilani before the investigation team over his alleged involvement in the NICL scam at 2 pm today.
Police has delivered the notice at Gilani’s residence to ensure his appearance today.
DG Operations NAB and the head of the investigating team, Zahir Shah had summoned ex-PM Gilani to appear before the team on Wednesday but he didn’t show up, prompting the country’s premier anti-corruption body to involve police. Zahir Shah, then instructed CPO Multan to present Gilani before the anti-corruption body.
Earlier, a notice was also issued to the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader for his non-cooperation.
